Do I need a BER Certificate?
From 1st January 2009, all homes being sold or rented must have a BER certificate issued by an approved BER Assessor.

All new homes for which planning permission was applied after 1st January 2007, as well as non-domestic buildings for which planning permission was applied after July 1st, 2008, must have a BER Certificate.

All registered BER Assessors have signed up to SEAI’s Code of Conduct which ensures the delivery of a proficient and timely service to end users.
